This financial report here says almost everything. It is notable for what it does not say and it is an example of what would not be acceptable in the corporate world. This report is a real worry and apparently there are accountants among the elected representatives. The ATO would not accept this kind of thing so why does the government or even the council let this go through. Launceston’s city manager knows nothing about accounting and accountability and here is the evidence loud and clear.
ReplyDeleteI the real world of business any business with the kind of turnover would be working from real time fiscal reporting. This kind of reporting is a joke and not a funny one. If Kenyans can do all their banking on their mobile phone you do have wonder about this class of accounting. How on earth does this business know where it is at any one time? How do they plan in a real world kind of way without the level of detail they need? This kind of reporting suggests backroom fiscal shuffling going on to get the books right. That kind of thing has let to ‘till milking’ and when that gets out of hand it all ends up in court and mostly with the cash down the toilet.
ReplyDeleteThis report looks like the biggest unfunny joke I’ve ever seen but who am I to comment this is only social media.
